Creating the business of your dreams can take a lot of work. There really are no shortcuts to creating good quality content. With all the work that you are putting into building your business, getting the word out about it can be equally as challenging. Not only that, but it can also feel paralyzing with all the options that you have to advertise your business. Today, I want to help you continue to ‘make every day stellar’ by breaking it down for you! Here are a few suggestions for how to effectively promote your business online.
There are many different ways that you can effectively promote your business online. Today, I am going to show you how simple it can be to build your business with a couple of these different platforms. Keep in mind, you do not need to do all of them! Just focusing in on a couple of different strategies consistently, can make all the difference for you! Consistency is absolutely key. So whatever you decide to start, make sure you stick with it!
How To Effectively Promote Your Business Online
1. SEO (Content Marketing)
Optimizing the growth of your business through SEO is really beneficial to know. If you have a website that allows you to have a blog, I would highly recommend creating and writing content that is directed to your target audience. Creating content with search engines and human readers in mind is called SEO (search engine optimization). Simply put? It means that Google knows exactly what you are talking about in your content and can show it to your target audience, as they are searching for the solutions that you offer.
Blogs can be fantastic for SEO. There can be a little bit of a learning curve as you start one up. But, if you already have a website that is attracting traffic, then a blog is a great place to provide solutions specifically for the audience you’re targeting.
2. Pinterest
I can’t stress this one enough. Pinterest is similar to Google, but it relies heavily on images! As visual search engine, it provides very similar results. Sometimes Pinterest gets lumped into the social media category. But, Pinterest is much more than that! Users come from all over and in a large variety of audiences to search tutorials, DIY’s, ideas, products, pictures and much more. Once you learn the basics, growing your platform with Pinterest can be very lucrative!
To help me better understand Pinterest, I went through the Pinfinite Traffic Bootcamp to learn the basics and the necessities needed to build my Pinterest platform. I can honestly say that this training has been the #1 game changer for how I approach Pinterest and how it has helped me to grow my brand. I also started utilizing Tailwind to help me schedule my pins. If you aren’t using these two tools to help you grow your Pinterest, I highly recommend starting today!
3. Facebook
Facebook gets a bad reputation these days, and I understand why. But, if you aren’t on Facebook with your business, then you really need to be. You don’t need a business page in order to grow. You CAN have a business page and pay for ads if that’s the route you’d like to take. I have a simpler solution for how to utilize Facebook for optimal growth.
Most of my time on Facebook is focused on groups. These groups allow me to network, share my products and blog posts, to develop ideas and collaborate. You can search for any group to join that will align with your target audience. Make sure that you are abiding by each groups rules and regulations. Also, head into each group with the goal to add value for others rather than take what you need from it. The groups that I lead and would love to have you join are:

4. Instagram
If you enjoy taking photos, sharing your life, or if you have to any way then Instagram might be the place for you! I often hear that Instagram is extremely overwhelming for some and while I can see how that might be true, it really is pretty simple. With ways to boost your bio on Instagram, good photos, and utilizing hashtags, this platform can be beneficial!
The most important thing about Instagram is to stay up to date with all the added updates. Actively choose to learn about all the updates that Instagram adds. Using the new features like Stories and Reels can help you to gain traction and reach, especially if you are pinpointing your target audience. Check out these 4 Things To Know About Instagram Reels to help you use the features that they add.
4. Email Marketing
You might be hesitant to jump on this bandwagon because you are assuming that most people don’t enjoy receiving emails. That’s not the truth! The truth is, most people don’t enjoy receiving emails that they didn’t sign up for. If someone opts into your email list, it’s because they like your content enough to say YES to receiving it on the regular. In fact, this is a great way to send very specific content to your target audience! Because more than likely, if they are signing up for your emails you are probably solving problems that they have. And the more you genuinely help people, the more your audience will grow.
I started my email list this year, and LOVE connecting with my regular readers there! I send loads of freebies, good business ideas, personalized social media tips and MORE to those who have opted in. If you’re on the fence about starting your own list, I want to encourage you to go for it! Also, I’d love to have you join my email list too.
5. Affiliate Marketing
If you are searching for products to add to your brand or are looking for ways to duplicate what you’re already building, then affiliate marketing is a great option for you! Not only can you connect yourself with a company and offer their products for a discount, but you can create your OWN affiliate program as well! Set up an affiliate program or a referral system that allows others who know and trust your business to refer their friends and family to you.
I am currently doing both. I love to be an affiliate of several companies, products, and trainings that I use. One of my favorite things ever to do is to share what I am enjoying with others. So being an affiliate of rad products and offerings is totally my jam because I love to support others. I also utilize network marketing in certain ways and help others to make a lot of money while promoting products that we all love. If you’re interested in learning more about how I utilize network marketing with Pinterest, let me know below in the comments and I’ll email you.
I am in the process of building an affiliate program for Stellar Day, so stay in tune for that as well! In the meantime, check out this blog post I did that answered 4 key questions about affiliate marketing.
6. Word Of Mouth
This one isn’t online, but it’s worth mentioning. Never underestimate the power of your WORDS. Talk to others about the business that you’re building and don’t feel ashamed to share about it! I speak to more business owners who are nervous to share about their business. You should be proud of what you are creating and don’t be afraid to speak out about it!
There are right and wrong ways to talk to people about business. However, if you have the mindset of serving others first then it should be easier. Stop thinking about making the sale, and start considering how you can help solve the problem of another. If you have a solution, offer it! Don’t be afraid to charge what you’re worth. Not every single person will want to work with you or purchase your product, but that doesn’t mean that you should be quiet about it. Help serve others and allow this mindset to lead you. The money and the sales will come. Helping others first is always the right way to lean in.
As you can see, there are many ways how to effectively promote your business online.
There are many ways that I didn’t even mention here! Find one or two ways and commit to mastering those first. When you take them all on at first, it can be really daunting with a lot of unnecessary work. Fine tune one or two platforms and get them running well. Once you’ve mastered them, then you can move on to other areas that you’re interested in.
Being consistent is the most important aspect of building any business. And this also goes for ways you’re building online! Take a deep breath, dive in to focusing on a couple that fit your vibe the most, and learn everything you can about it. Develop them well and give them a fair shot. Show up every day and give it your all for longer than six months before changing methods. You’ve got what it takes, and you can do this!
Thanks for being here,
