The Secret to Glowing Skin: Skincare Tips and Tricks
1. Cleanse properly
The first step in any good skincare routine is to cleanse your skin thoroughly. This removes any dirt, oil, and makeup that can clog your pores and lead to breakouts. Choose a gentle cleanser that’s suited to your skin type, and use it morning and night.
I always recommend the LumiSpa as a great place to start. It’s two minutes morning and night, and is the best possible way to clean your skin. I’ve used it for four years and it’s revolutionized my skin. If it’s not an option for you to start with LumiSpa, then I suggest this Nutricentials line. It’s affordable, reliable, and works insanely well.

2. Exfoliate regularly
Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Doing this regularly can help to brighten your complexion and improve your skin’s texture. Choose a gentle exfoliator and use it once or twice a week, depending on your skin type.
I always recommend this Brighter Day Exfoliant Scrub. It’s gentle enough to use multiple times a week. Plus, it’s affordable and it feels SO good. As another option, this Mini Mask Pack is a great one to have on hand as you’re considering your exfoliating needs.
3. Moisturize daily
Keeping your skin hydrated is key to achieving a healthy, glowing complexion. Choose a moisturizer that’s suited to your skin type and use it daily, both in the morning and at night. If you have dry skin, you may need to use a heavier moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.
So, I have a few options here. No matter what type of skin you have, I have a moisturizer that will work for you:
- Thirst Fix is a hydrating gel that is wonderful for almost all skin types. It’s light, it’s non-greasy, and it provides the perfect amount of moisture.
- Dew All Day is creamy moisturizer that is great for dry skin. Even still, it’s not heavy, greasy, or too thick.
- Pillow Glow Sleeping Mask is a moisture-recharging gel-cream mask that delivers an intense rush of immediate and long-lasting overnight hydration. I’ve found that this is a great one for all skin types as well, even acne prone skin.

4. Protect your skin from the sun
Sun damage can cause premature aging, dark spots, and other skin concerns. Protect your skin by wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day, even when it’s cloudy outside. You should also try to avoid spending too much time in direct sunlight, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
There is so much debate about which sunscreen to use. Ultimately, you have to choose what you feel is right. I trust Nu Skin’s Sunright Face & Body Sunscreen. For my face, I use Nutricentials Bioadaptive Skin Care™ Day Dream Protective Lotion every day before I apply my BB Cream. I have acne prone skin and this moisturizer has become a staple to keeping my skin clear and protected.
5. Eat a healthy diet
The foods you eat can have a big impact on the health of your skin. Eating a balanced diet that’s rich in fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and healthy fats can help to keep your skin looking and feeling its best. Drinking plenty of water can also help to keep your skin hydrated.
I am a work in progress on this one, and you likely are too. But, we just keep moving forward!
6. Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep is important for overall health, but it can also have a big impact on the health of your skin. Lack of sleep can cause dark circles, dull skin, and other skin concerns. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep per night to keep your skin looking its best.

7. Manage stress
Stress can have a big impact on your skin, causing breakouts, dryness, and other concerns. Find ways to manage stress, such as through exercise, meditation, or spending time with friends and family. Taking care of your mental health can have a positive impact on your skin.
By following these tips and tricks, you can achieve a healthy, glowing complexion that you’ll be proud to show off. Even though I am completely obsessed with Nu Skin, remember that everyone’s skin is different. So, it may take some trial and error to find the skincare routine that works best for you. With patience and consistency, you can achieve the beautiful, radiant skin you’ve always wanted!
Have A Stellar Day,
Jess xo
